Leaving there, we finally began to see the familiar way markers again - the yellow scallop and arrow on a blue background. ( I can't seem to figure out how to arrange pictures to go with the text, so I'll leave it to readers to figure it out). The walk, though difficult, was beautiful, first through farm land and chestnut trees and then open so that we could see spectacular vistas as we climbed higher and higher.
Once again we arrived in time to get a bed in the municipal Albergue, and now it is full, all 104 beds.
It is my granddaughter, Zola's 8th birthday today. I was able to make a quick call using Marty's limited international minutes to wish her a feliz cumpliaños.

You can't even remember the day here!! How did you remember Zolas bday on a hiking trail? You are remarkable. It must be quite exciting at this point. To be in to the routine of walk, reflect, eat, snap pix, hydrate. Repeat. The vistas seem quite spectacular. Tres jealouse mon Amie
